Spiral concentrators in a chrome wash plant

Operations

From run-of-mine ore to export-ready concentrate

A modular crush-and-wash circuit engineered around gravity separation, water recovery and consistent product grade.

Capabilities

What the plant does

ROM Handling & Feed Preparation

Front-end loader feed, ROM stockpile management, hopper and vibrating grizzly scalping to a controlled top size.

Crushing & Comminution

Primary and secondary crushing circuits sized for consistent liberation ahead of the wash and gravity plant.

Screening & Classification

Lumpy (+10 mm to −150 mm) and wash fines (−10 mm) split, with 20 mm and 2 mm screening decks.

Washing & Scrubbing

Trommel / rotary scrubber circuits removing clays and fines to expose clean mineral surfaces.

Gravity Beneficiation

Rougher and cleaner spiral banks, hydrocyclone desliming, wet drum magnetic separation and shaking tables to upgrade to a 40–44% Cr₂O₃ product.

Dewatering & Water Recovery

Screw dewaterers, dewatering and linear screens, vacuum filtration and closed-loop water recycling through settling and clean-water return dams.

Tailings & Environmental

Engineered tailings and slimes facilities, pollution control dams, and environmental authorisation and water-use compliance workstreams.

Power & Utilities

Grid or heavy-duty diesel generation with MCC-controlled distribution, and hybrid solar options for long-term cost stability.

Crusher discharging ore onto a conveyor belt

Stage 1–2 — ROM feed, primary crushing and screening

Process flow

Seven stages, one gravity-flow circuit

Designed for early tailings rejection so downstream equipment stays small, efficient and cheap to run.

01

Feed

FEL → hopper → vibrating grizzly (~70 mm scalp).

02

Wash & Scrub

Trommel / rotary scrubber with 20 mm and 2 mm screens.

03

Rougher Gravity

Primary spiral chutes on the −2 mm fraction for early tailings rejection.

04

Cleaner Gravity

Secondary cleaner spirals treating middlings.

05

Fine Upgrading

Wet drum magnetic separation and shaking tables.

06

Dewatering

Screw dewaterer and dewatering screens.

07

Stockpiling

Concentrate yard, ROM pad and water-recovery tailings pond.

Export-grade chrome concentrate

Final product — 40–44% Cr₂O₃ concentrate

Water stewardship

Closed-loop reticulation through settling and clean-water return dams keeps make-up water demand low and protects surrounding watercourses.

Power resilience

MCC-controlled distribution with grid or diesel generation, and hybrid solar options evaluated for long-run cost stability.

Quality assurance

Independent third-party assays confirm concentrate grade before dispatch, giving offtake partners verifiable 40–44% Cr₂O₃ product.
