What we do
An integrated ROM-to-concentrate operation
Black Rock Africa Resources is a South African mining and mineral processing company that treats every ton as part of one connected system — geology, extraction, processing, environment and people. Our flagship facility is a 100 TPH automated chrome washplant in the Brits industrial node, North West Province, designed to upgrade low-grade run-of-mine ore into export-ready concentrate while returning water, land and opportunity to the region.

Crush & Screen
Primary and secondary comminution with controlled classification.

Wash & Beneficiate
Scrubbing, spirals, magnetics and tables to export-grade concentrate.

Modular Build
Containerised steel plant for rapid installation and relocation.

Governed Delivery
Phase-gated execution with independent engineering validation.
Our holistic approach
One connected mining system
We do not see mining as a single activity. Resource, plant, environment and community are planned together from day one, so that value created underground is carried responsibly all the way to market — and back to the land and people that host us.
- 01
Resource
Understanding the orebody, land tenure and mineral rights before committing capital.
- 02
Extract
Controlled ROM handling and feed preparation that protects grade and minimises waste.
- 03
Process
Crushing, washing and gravity beneficiation that recover more value from low-grade ore.
- 04
Market
Consistent 40–44% Cr₂O₃ concentrate delivered to reliable offtake partners.
- 05
Restore
Closed-loop water, engineered tailings and progressive rehabilitation of disturbed land.
- 06
Empower
Local employment, skills transfer and South African suppliers in our host communities.

How we work
Solid foundation, green future
Solid Foundation
Engineering-led design, statutory compliance and disciplined project governance before a single ton is moved.
Green Future
Closed-loop water reticulation, pollution control dams and responsible tailings management designed into the plant, not bolted on.
Local Value
South African suppliers, local labour and skills transfer in the communities that host our operations.
Discuss offtake, supply or partnership
We work with offtake partners, equipment suppliers, contractors and landowners across South Africa and the wider SADC region.
